ca\u00edda del muro de Berl\u00edn en 1989, los muros en el Este de Europa han comenzado a emerger en pleno siglo XXI. Ya van 14 muros construidos en Slovakia, para separar a comunidades roman\u00edes del resto de la sociedad. El \u2018apartheid eslovaco\u2019, como as\u00ed lo denominan los investigadores sociales, se palpa a todos los niveles, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del muro. Una carretera, la v\u00eda del tren, un r\u00edo, el campo, el bosque o una f\u00e1brica, cuando se vive al otro lado, constituyen tambi\u00e9n una barrera. El desempleo imperante y las condiciones de precariedad, sumado a la segregaci\u00f3n escolar, va arraigando en la conciencia individual y colectiva, perpetuando la vida al margen.<\/p><p>\u201cEl Muro Eslovaco\u201d es un proyecto documental y participativo que est\u00e1 en progreso. Combina la fotograf\u00eda y el video para documentar una realidad invisibilizada, con la realizaci\u00f3n de talleres fotogr\u00e1ficos participativos para j\u00f3venes roman\u00edes que viven tras el muro, para dar voz a sus anhelos y esperanzas. El proyecto se realiza en colaboraci\u00f3n con Bostok Photo y la ONG ETP Slovensko.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7e76d063 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7e76d063\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><em>The Slovak wall<\/em><\/h3><p><em>After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, walls in Eastern Europe have begun to emerge in XXI century. There are 14 walls built in Slovakia, separating Roma communities. The &#8216;Slovak apartheid\u2019, a term used by the social researchers, is perceived at many levels beyond the wall. A road, a route, a railway, a river, a field, a forest or a factory, can also be a barrier when life is on the other side of it. The prevailing unemployment and the precarious living conditions, in addition to scholar segregation, is becoming deeply ingrained in individual and collective consciousness, perpetuating a marginalized way of living.<\/em><\/p><p><em>\u201cThe Slovak Wall\u201d is a documentary and participatory project in progress. It combines documentary photography and video to spotligth a forgotten reality, with the production of photographic and participatory workshops with Roma kids living on the other side of the wall, to give voice to their hopes and dreams.
