The same day the Spanish Government has announced to apply article 155 to the Catalan Government, loosing temporary all their right. Cada 12 horas la polic\u00eda visitaba cada escuela, redactando actas de ocupaci\u00f3n. Los bomberos de Matar\u00f3 junto a la Uni\u00f3 de Pagesos del Maresme han visitado todas las escuelas de la ciudad para recordar a las personas que tienen derecho a votar. El d\u00eda del refer\u00e9ndum las personas se han congregado a las 5.00am en la puerta de los colegios para evitar la intervenci\u00f3n policial. Mientras que en Barcelona y Sant Juli\u00e0 de Ramis hubo cargas policiales, en Matar\u00f3 la gente votaba bajo la amenaza de recibir una visita de la Guardia Civil o la Polic\u00eda Nacional. El Instituto Thos i Codina de Matar\u00f3 organiz\u00f3 actividades por la tarde para evitar el cierre. Finalmente, en la ciudad de Matar\u00f3, no se requisaron urnas y tras el conteo final, se anunci\u00f3 un 90,1% de votos a favor de la independencia de Catalu\u00f1a. D\u00edas despu\u00e9s, el Gobierno espa\u00f1ol ha encarcelado a los principales l\u00edderes del movimiento separatista, Jordi S\u00e1nchez y Jordi Cuixart, y seguidamente ha iniciado un proceso de aplicaci\u00f3n del art\u00edculo n\u00ba 155 de la Constituci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola.<\/p><div>\u00a0<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-10c27a17 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"10c27a17\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 style=\"font-style: normal; text-align: start;\"><em><span style=\"color: #dedede;\">The Catalan referendum<\/span><\/em><\/h3><p style=\"font-style: normal; text-align: start;\"><em>Under the police threat of sealing the electoral schools to avoid that the Catalan referendum was cellebrated, many people have occupied the schools all the weekend sleeping there during night, to keep the site opened until the Sunday 1th October. Every 12 hours the police visited each school, writing minutes of the occupation. The firefighters of Matar\u00f3 with the Union of Peasants have visited all the schools of the city to remember people that they have the right to vote. On the referendum day, people went early at 5.00am in the morning to the schools to avoid the intervention of the police. While in some schools of Barcelona and Sant Juli\u00e0 de Ramis there have been police charges, in Matar\u00f3 people were voting under the threat of receiving a visit from the Civil Guard or the National Police. The Thos i Codina Institute of Matar\u00f3 has organized activities in the afternoon to gather people and avoid closure. Finally, in the city of Matar\u00f3, no ballot boxes have been requisitioned and the final count has been made, with a 90.1% vote in favor of Catalonia&#8217;s independence.
